TaiWani's Dessert
JellyFig Taro
JellyFig Taro
When Ramadan falls during the hot weather, it could be challenging for us to sustain throughout the day. The best option to keep us motivated is to think of the numerous selection of desserts that can be chosen for iftar. We believe your choice of desserts will be something that is refreshing, flavourful and cold to quench your thirst due to fasting.
This Ramadan, we have come up with another unique Taiwan inspired dessert (Ai Yu Jelly), with a fusion of sunnah foods which inspired from the Quranic verses; The Fig and Olive. According to Quran, fruits like grapes, dates, fig, olive and pomegranate are gifts and heavenly fruits of God. So we decided to include them in our version of Ai Yu jelly that we proudly called JellyFig! The jelly from this menu is made from the varieties of fig seeds which commonly found in Taiwan and the texture and the look of it looks like jellyfish! Hence the name! 😉
Figs are a good source of both calcium and potassium. This healthy dessert is an ideal choice during this fasting month. You may find the combination of Figs, Ai Yu Jelly, Black Olives, Longan, Taro Balls with the sweetness of palm sugar and honey & the citrusy of the lemon juice are just perFIG! 😍
Each bowl of JellyFig Taro consists of:
Ai Yu Jelly
Black Olives
Fresh Fig Fruit
Sweet Potato Taro Balls
Longan
Fresh Lemon Juice
Honey
Palm Sugar
You may enjoy this refreshing Taiwanese dessert on its own or it will be more perfect to be eaten with shaved ice during this hot weather!
